Maytenus macrocarpa is a plant native to the Amazon Region of Peru. It belongs to the legacy of ancestral Amazonian medicine, it has properties such as: body tonic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, immunostimulant, relieves menstrual pain, strengthens bones and joints; sterols and triterpenes. Its bark is used for maceration in brandy and applied in rheumatism, influenza, gastrointestinal diseases and as an antitumor agent.
 
Internal use: 5 to 15 drops, 3 times a day, preferably in a hot drink to evaporate the alcohol. The most important indication for its use is respiratory problems and its anti-inflammatory property stands out.
